A one-year computer-illustrated course in mathematics: a project of the French ministry of education

This paper describes a project in which systematic and collective computer use in mathematics has been explored. Computers were used in mathematics lessons during a whole school year. The project has been launched by the French Ministry of Education, section “Lycees et Colleges”. The project covers all mathematical topics in the French “Seconde” form in general education and provides both software for collective use and related written materials.
