Background to the Study

Church governance is “the structure of individual churches for the purpose of ensuring effective church leadership”2. Church government is essentially related to church government. Enns believes that the church is a living organism with Christ as its head, but there is a structure that governs the church.3 Church politics is influenced by the interpretation of the Bible and historical events.
