ABSTRACT
This research study focused on Automated Library Record Management System, using Ritman College as the case study. This study aims at developing a system that ensures the privacy of its users and enable them access it remotely, to design a system that respond in a timely manner, to enable easy maintenance of students and book details etc. The work has met most of the goals of the system by enabling library staff follow their clients and resources that they manage. A report generation as easy as all the information has become easier to manipulate because of the nature of electronic storage. Finding reading material has been made easy because different criteria can be used to accomplish the task. The user interfaces are friendly and there was a need for retraining others without much orientation. The researcher recommends that software engineers and computer scientists should be contracted to develop customized applications to handle library records, staff should be trained to be computer literate and computer scientists should be employed to aid in the development of computerized systems for the school. The programming language used for the development of the system is Visual Basic 6.0.
