The authors take full responsibility for the content of the report itself. Although the focus of the report is on the administrative integration of early childhood development under one ministry, that of education, it will be noted that several of the Jamaican country players discuss, and are working towards, integration in its broader meanings. Acknowledgements The authors are indebted to the willing cooperation of all persons interviewed for this report, who are listed by name and position in Appendix C. These stalwarts of the integration movement all brought to their participation the passion and commitment which has marked this dynamic movement since its inception and all perspectives were useful in describing achievements to date as well as remaining challenges. We thank them all, and UNESCO and UNICEF for the opportunity to contribute Jamaica’s experience to this multi-country Research Project.
