DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTER BASED EXECUTIVE INFORMATION SYSTEM(A CASE STUDY OF THE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, ENUGU)

ABSTRACT

In the existing system in the Institute of Management and technology, data about Students and Staff are obtained, processed and stored manually which results in problems such as error in generated reports, reports not being timely produced and a host of others.  This project work is targeted at computerizing these processes so as to provide the management with accurate and timely reports for effective decision making. Different methods of data collection methods ranging from making of enquiries to study of relevant documents were used to get relevant information about the existing system. The programming language used to develop this software is visual Basic 6.0 it is expected that this software will go a long way in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of those at the helm of affairs of management of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu
