ABSTRACT

This research study is focused on design and implementation of computerized Educational Administrative Information System using the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) as case study. This study is aimed at creating a system that will compute and manage pupils result, developing a system that will help reduce staff workload and creating a system that will help retrieve and update information of pupils result. The significant of the study is to implement the computerized system that would definitely stimulate the school standard. This would as well help the management to ease the burden on the staff which would be on the benefit of students and staffs.  The research methodology used is systematic methodology and the programming language used for the development of the system is Visual Basic.NET, and MS Access as database.

This chapter introduces computerized educational administrative information system. It discusses about the problem statement, aim and objectives, significance of the study, scope of the study, organization of the study as well as definition of terms.

The term information system sometimes refers to a system of persons, data records and activities that process the data and information in an organization, and it includes the organization’s manual and automated processes. Computer-based information systems are the field of study for information technology, elements of which are sometimes called an information system.
