Abstract
The determination of Heavy Metals in fresh water fish (Clarias cameronensis) from Etim Ekpo River. The concentration of the heavy metals expressed in mg/kg that are: cadmium 3.7 mg/kg, lead, < 0.001 mg/kg, copper < 0.001 mg/kg, chromium 2.211 kg/mg, zinc 21.0 mg/kg and iron 12 0 mg/kg respectively. Hence, this study review that although cadmium, lead, copper, zinc and effort should be made to ensured that heavy and other heavy metals do not exceed the prescribed World Health Organization (WHO) and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) acceptable limit.
