Developing main language instruction. Developments in The Molteno Project – Literacy, language and educator development

After a career in English teaching and lecturing, and education project development, VIC RODSETH is now a consultant, trainer and materials developer. His present involvements include: The Molteno Project (which he helped start and where he worked for many years); the Home Language Project which is advancing African Home Language (and additional language) instruction in former Model C schools; the Quality Learning Project, set up to improve reading and writing across-the-curriculum skills in 500 under-performing High Schools; the Fort Hare University equity project which aims (with RAU) to help students through commercial degrees by providing additional instruction in reading and writing (as well as Business Maths and Accounting). Much of his work involves the production of Educational Television films.
