ABSTRACT
This study examined the effective communication as strategy for enhancing organizational effectiveness using ministry of information Uyo as a case study. To accomplished the research objective, the study adopted the survey research design while the convenience sample technique was used to select fifty (50) respondents as sample size for the study. Instrument of the study was self developed questionnaire and forms were personally administered. The study revealed the effective communication in the organization, increase productivity, boost morale of staff, regulatory requirement for monitoring conflict and increase output. Also, organizational effective communication strategy allowed for accurate forecasting and prediction by the organization and allows for continuous flows of information in and out in the organization. The management adopt the problem arising in effective communication in organization include lack of sensitivity to receiver, lack of communication skills, information overload and emotional interference. Based on the above findings, it was however recommended that ministry of information and other sectors of information should organized training and retraining programmes for its workface to enable them acquired the necessary skills for effective job delivery in the work plan, and proper supervision to express view on organizational decisions to bring up the organization to a greater level and should be assessed and controlled by a designated person to avoid wrong flows of information in the organization. modernize effective information in the organization should be adopted.Â
