Hence, any other individual(s) who wish to go into any further research on this topic will find this work very useful.

 POPULATION, SAMPLE AND SAMPLING PROCEDURE

The staff strength of Akwa  Ibom Transport Company (AKTC), constitute the population of study. The actual number is two hundred and thirty seven (237).

The random sampling technique was used for the study; this was to give the individual an equal opportunity of being selected for the study.

In determining the sample size, the researcher made use of the yards formula propounded by Yaro Yammani in 1964 which denoted.

N =      N

1+N (e) 2

Where

n= sample size

N= population

E= error limited (level of significant) = 0.05

TYPES AND LOCATION OF DATA USED (OPTIONAL)

Primary and secondary source of data were the major source of data collection, the primary sources was basically from the use of questionnaire while the secondary source was obtained from the work of other researcher, personal library, journals, Uyo City Polytechnic Library and other selected materials.

INSTRUMENT FOR DATA ANALYSIS

The main instrument of collection of data used in this research was questionnaire.

This instrument administered in person by the researcher of the respondents, the questionnaire, was designed with multiple questions that provide options to the respondents; the question was sent out in communication with simple size of 80.

However only 64 out of the 80 distributed questionnaires were correctly filled and return to the researcher against this back drop of the research calculation and demonstration in chapter four of this work.

Data collection was edited first for accuracy classified and presented in a manner that will enable the research and reader easy comprehension, the simple percentage was used in validating the research hypothesis in analyzing the research question is started mathematically.

Thus

P%     =           fo  X  100

No          I

Where

P% = calculated percentage for a particular response

No = observed frequency of response

No = total number of respondents

100 = percentage base

In a simdiated manner, person correlation

Coefficient statistical formula is well stated.

Mathematically thus,

r = correlation coefficient

n = number of observation

x = independent variables

y = dependent variables
