INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND EFFECTIVE PROCESSING OF STUDENTS RESULTS (EDUCATION PROJECT TOPICS AND MATERIALS)

 

ABSTRACT

This study investigated the information communication technology on effective processing on students results in federal college of education Osiele Abeokuta in carrying out this study five research question were raised the sample for the study comprises fine schools with the questionnaire which is the school of arts and social sciences, school of education school of vocational, school of languages and the school of science in federal college of education Osiele Abeokuta. The instrument used for data collection was a self developed questionnaire the data collected was used to answer research question one by one the questionnaire which contain draw used for data collection 100 questionnaire were administered and 98 were received by the researcher. The percentage statically formula was used for the data analysis based on the finding of this research ICT effective processing on student results means, method and machines, that human beings use to collect, store, process and transmit data in different forms (texts, sounds, and pictures) from source or decorder with an effect feedback. ICT uses in federal college of education Abeokuta has positive and negative effect on processing of students results in Federal College of Education Abeokuta.

CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

1.1    Background to the Study

Information communication technology is a collection of computers, all connected to one another, it first got its start in (1966) as the ARPANET, a project of the defense department’s advanced research projects agency at some point it was opened up to University researchers and for many years, was used primarily for transferring e-mail and files among university researchers and for exchanging information via newsgroup. Each computers that is connected to the network is called an internet host in (1986) there were 5,000 hosts and 241 newsgroups.

In (1990), Timberners-Lee came up with the idea of having a large number of documents all of which could be linked together and refer to one another he called this set of documents the World Wide Web (www). Each person or organisation’s collection of document was called a website the idea caught on quickly in (1993) there were too website (the internet itself was till growing, there were now two million internets hosts) in (1955) there were 100,000 websites, and the numbers of internet hosts has grown as well.
