ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of parent-child relationship and how it affects students behaviour in Akpabuyo local government area of Cross River State. To achieve the purpose of this study, three hypotheses were formulated to direct the study. A total sample of two hundred (200) respondents were randomly selected for the study. The questionnaire was the major instrument used for data collection. To test the hypotheses and to ascertain whether to reject or retain them, the chi-square correlation analysis was considered appropriate because of the nature of the variables involved in the hypotheses formulated to guide the study. The result of the analysis revealed that parenting style, parental involvement and family socio-economic status significantly influence students delinquent behaviour in Akpabuyo local government of Cross River State.
