To achieve the purpose of this study, five null hypotheses were formulated to guide this study. A total of 200 students were randomly selected from the research area. A self-constructed questionnaire titled personality trait and students’ academic performance (SELPT) were designed to collect data from the students. To ascertain the reliability of the items, test-retest was used. The research design adopted for the study was ex-post facto. The hypotheses were analysed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Co-efficient and tested at 0.05 level of significance with 198 degree of freedom.
