Abstract
Andrographis paniculata, a medicinal plant was analyzed for its phytochemical contents using standard procedure. The result shows that Tannins were highly present, Flavonoids were moderately present, Saponins and Alkaloids were present in traces. The presence of these phytochemicals is the reason for the use of this plant in the treatment of diarrhea, diabetic, heart burns, cervical cancer and weight loss.
