1.0 INTRODUCTION
- BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The word “education” is derived from Latin word education, which means to know or learn inquiry.
Education is the process by which society deliberately transmits it accumulated knowledge skill and values from one generation to another.

N.P.E (2004) defined education as the process that helps to develop the whole man and enable him to discover his potentials towards achieving self goals.
UNESCO (2009) gives the following definition education as largest sense is any act or experience that has a formulate effect on the mind, character or physical ability of individual.

In Nigeria we suggest that in the long term, other nation will increase their investment in higher education to sustain their economics.

Firstly the countries which are technology capabilities gain a long term advantage over increasingly that education is positively associated to be most relevant education variable in more developed countries.
As a matter of economic, strategy, we must match international level of investment to participate national and global economy.
There is room for debate as to whether following the major expansion in higher education that has been take place over recent years, there is need in the immediate for further expansion and whether the labour market could Absorb further increase in the number of conventional graduates.
