ABSTRACT
This research work was designed to examine the role of community participation in the educational programme of students in Awka metropolis. The population for this study comprises of all secondary schools in Awka metropolis Correlation coefficients were used to analyse the research based on the responses received from the respondents. And the chi-square method was used to test the research hypothesis.
The finding of this study revealed that the community has a vital role to play in the development of educational program of their children. The analysis has equally answer all the research questions raised in this study. More so, suggestions, and recommendations were made as a medium of promoting the standard of education, among it is cultivating the habit of bringing the community into the school and bringing the school into the community.
