  1. INTRODUCTION

Imagine a land without shape without form, or void, how is it going to look like, fact imagine a country without beauty, without hills, valleys, landscape, without beautiful sceneries, no beautiful places to visit, no attraction what so ever. How will this country look like?

Though, until recently tourism has include the activities of people traveling away from their usual environment for leisure time, business and other purposes, but with automation of the information system on ministry tourism people will be more enlightened and educated on the tourism nature of Enugu state.

1.1. STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

This project is aim at helping people or visitors have easy access to information concerning the various tourism attraction centers. We have in Nigeria, how to get there and also at what time of the year.

1.2. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The purpose of the study is to design and implement a computerized on-line information system for tourism in Enugu state so as to provide alternative solution inherent in the existing system. Such elements include tourist destinations, tourist services, determinants and motivation in tourism.

1.3. AIMS AND OBJECTIVIES

The aim of this project work is to study the existing information system of tourism in Enugu state ministry and produce a computerized on-line design system for automatic processing.

Therefore the objectives of this study are as follows:

  1. To review existing literature on ministry tourism in Enugu state.
  2. To after useful recommendation on how to improve the information system on Enugu state tourism.
  3. To enhance the attractiveness and availability of tourism in ministry of Enugu state people.

Have a freedom of choice of computerized on-line design for people (tourist) to have easy access to information on what they should apply a part of their income and a part of their leisure time to participate in tourism, where to go and to a greater or lesser extent, when to go.

1.5. LIMITATION

In the course of this project study, difficulties were encountered such as:

Inadequate Resources:- During the data collection, there were limited resources to do it.

Time Factor: Time was not enough for the project study (i.e.) Insufficient.

Financial and energy constraints were also limiting factors encountered during the research work.
