ABSTRACT

The study on the effect of deforestation on climate change in Nigeria was carried out in two local government areas of Cross River State, Nigeria with the objectives of determining the effects on deforestation on, examine their consequences and as well as strategizing ways of mitigating climate change through forestry. Most members of these communities have a fair knowledge on the effects of deforestation while others do not have any knowledge on deforestation
