ABSTRACT
Using standard procedure of analysis, heavy metal concentration value in the shell showed; Zn (32.02Mg/g) > Fe (12.5mg/g), Pb (6.20mg/g) > Cr (3.99mg/g) > Cd (0.31mg/g). The flesh showed Zn (8.77mg/g) > Fe (8.20mg/g) Pb (2.60mg/g) > Cr (0.43mg/g) Cd (0.03mg/g). In both shell and flesh, the concentration of Cr, Fe and Pb were higher than WHO standard.
