WEB BASED BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURAL SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF PROMISE TECHNOLOGIES, IKOT EKPENE)
ABSTRACT
This research work focused on the development of a web based business entrepreneurial system using Promise Technologies in Ikot Ekpene as a case study. The research work was necessary because of the problems of the existing system which include: absence of a web based business entrepreneurial system for transaction record keeping, poor security of business transaction record information, in the manual system, business transaction records cannot be accessed from any location. The objectives of the study are to design a web based system that can replace the manual method of processing business transaction, to design a system that will facilitate proper record keeping of business transaction records, to implement a system that will guarantee timely retrieval of business transaction record reports. The significance of the study are: it will serve as a management information system to the managers of the business enterprise, it will aid smooth running of business enterprise and it will enable the business enterprise operate professionally. The software development methodology used is spiral model. The programming language used is PHP (pHp Hypertext Pre-processor) and the database used is MySql.
