ABSTRACT
This research work focused on the development of a web based event booking management record system using Runnic Halls and Events in Ikot Ekpene as a case study. The research work was necessary because of the problems of the existing system which are manual method of recording event booking transactions is still applicable in existing system, poor record keeping of event records, missing records due to paper based system for recording event booking information. In view of these problems, the objectives are to design a web based database application that can be used to register event booking record, to implement a system that can be used to easily update event booking records, to implement a system that can be used to update event booking records. The study is significant in that it willIt will provide the management of the event centre with an automated system to manage their event booking records and aid smooth running of the enterprise as needed information about events can be easily verified. The software development methodology used is Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM). The programming technologies used are HTML, CSS, PHP and MYSQL. The system is relevant in that it aid smooth running of the enterprise as needed information about events can be easily updated and verified this in turn promote making of informed decisions to the administrators of the enterprise.
