LEARNER-CENTERED INSTRUCTION AND ELT: SULTAN QABOOS UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCE

  • The College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University (Oman) implemented a project that involved the adoption of a learner-centered approach in the preparation program for English language teacher trainees. The learning materials used in the project were the result of a collaborative effort between Sultan Qaboos University and the American Partnership Initiative, as represented by Seward Incorporated. This paper elaborates on this experience by describing this project, summarizing the research conducted, and providing some reflections and recommendations
