DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTER BASED BILL OF MATERIAL PROCESSING SYSTEM.
ABSTRACT
It has become very necessary to computerize the bill of material processing system in Nigeria due to the impact it has on the overall efficiency of the organization. This project undertakes the computer-based bill of material processing system of Nigeria. An in-depth study of the existing manual system is done and the problems encountered are noted. The need for a system is justified. The new system is designed to solve the problems encountered in the old system. Information management is made easier and efficiency is enhanced the benefits of the new system justify the cost and therefore these benefits cannot be over-emphasized.
ORGANIZATION OF WORK
This work is titled “DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTER BASED BILL OF MATERIAL PROCESSING SYSTEM”. The work is organized in chapters.
Chapter one deals with the INTRODUCTION. It states the problem, the purpose of the study, the aims, the scope, limitations and assumptions. The terms used in the project are also defined.
Chapter three is the DESCRIPTION AND ANALYSIS OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM. An in-depth analysis in to the existed system is done and its problems are highlighted. The need for a new system is justified.
Chapter four is the DESIGN OF THE NEW SYSTEM. The input and output and out specifications and design are done. Files are designed. Procedure chart and system flow charts are drawn. System requirements are listed.
Chapter five deals with the IMPLEMENTATION of the system designed. The program is designed and program flowcharts drawn. Pseudo-codes are written. The source program is attached.
Chapter six is the DOCUMENTATION. It established a communication link between the users and the programmer.
Chapter seven is about RECOMMENDATIONS AND CONCLUSION. Having come to the end, it is necessary to give certain advice and tips to the new system and to other beneficiaries of this work.
This work is valid as such it is reliable because information was gathered from reliable and valid sources.
