ABSTRACT
The research work focused on Computer-based student registration record management system using Department of Computer Science. The aim of the study is to design a computer-based student’s registration record management system. The study has the following objectives, to design a system that will investigate the current system of students’ registration record management under the department of Computer Science, to develop a system that will gather requirements for designing a computer-based students’ records management system and to design and implement a computerized records management system that will enable easy storage, timely retrieval and security of students’ records. The significant of the study are, it will motivate other business firms to see the need of implementing computer-based system to their registration processes, and the boring and tedious way of handling registration issues will be eliminated as everything is electronically based. The research methodology used is systematic methodology and the programming language used for the development of the system is Visual Basic.NET, and MS Access as database.
