ABSTRACT
This research work focused on development of automated semester result computation system using computer science department Akwa Ibom State polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene as a case study. The aim of the study is to provide software that can be used for computing student’s results, this software was designed to facilitate the processing of the results which was found to be rather tedious, especially when carried out using excel application. The software was developed using Net programming language and an Access database, employing MYSQL Relational Database Management System. The software used for the computerization was developed using waterfall life cycle design methodology, visual basic programming language was used to generate the code. However the user of an automated system for student result computation will definitely face off most of the challenges encounter by result compilers.
