ABSTRACT
Computer Aided Diagnosis of Child Disease is designed to assist in the medical diagnosis of Children disease. The program is based on the assumption that Children disease is the principal complaint, and that there are no other dominant complaints or symptoms. The reliability of the program obviously depends on the information supplied by the physician and/or patient. Entering incorrect or misleading information will cause erroneous or unreliable results. The program work on the principle of an expert system. An expert system is software that attempts to reproduce the performance of one or more human experts, most commonly in a specific problem domain, and is a traditional application and/or subfield of artificial intelligence. A wide variety of methods can be used to simulate the performance of the expert however common to most or all are 1) the creation of a so-called “knowledge base” which uses some knowledge representation formalism to capture the Subject Matter . This program is designed using visual basic and Microsoft access.
ORGANIZATION OF WORK
This project work is primarily designed to give an insight into Computer Aided Diagnosis of Child Disease used in hospitals.
Chapter one talks about introduction to Computer Aided Diagnosis of Child Disease, study of problem and objectives as well as definition of the scope.
Chapter two comprises the literature review. Chapter three gives the detailed information about the existing (old) system, while chapter four and five deals with the design and implantation of new system.
Chapter six documents the project work, while chapter seven summaries, conclusion and suggestions were made.

1.0 INTRODUTION
Computer Aided Diagnosis of Child Disease is used to diagnosis various heart diseases. In medicine, diagnosis is the process of identifying a medical condition or disease by its signs, symptoms, and from the results of various diagnostic procedures. The conclusion reached through this process is called a diagnosis. The term “diagnostic criteria” designates the combination of signs, symptoms, and test results that allows the doctor to ascertain the diagnosis of the respective disease.
However, it has two distinct dictionary definitions. The first definition is “the recognition of a disease or condition by its outward signs and symptoms, while the second definition is “the analysis of the underlying physiological/biochemical cause(s) of a disease or condition
