ABSTRACT
Over the past decade there have been several issues that has made the administration of examination in our tertiary institution very challenging to those at the hem of affairs in the polytechnic, problems ranging from intruders having access to the examination hall with the aim of writing for someone, also, reports of loss of important files and details of examination information, time wastage in the entire process of processing the examination details since documents and files are to be moved from one office to another and as such which has gave rise to the research of the development of a new system on the topic “design and implementation of examination administration system” which will help to ease off these challenges. The new system which is developed with Visual Basic .Net (Express Edition 9.0) running on dot net frame work 3.5, will specifically keep track of the total information about the candidate and the exam itself. The literature reviews included in this research work are, overview on exam result management, examination result computation, duties of an examination administration or invigilator, database files and structural organization in examination administration system, also contain is stages of development in examination administration system.
