Abstracts
This research on the determination of organic matter, total nitrogen and elemental content of cow dung standard analytical procedure of AOAC were used for the analysis. The result shows that a 100g dry sample contains Na (2.71 ± 0.02 mg), K (3.55 ± 0.01 mg), Ca (4.00 ± 0.01 mg), Mg (2.83 ± 0.02 mg) and P (2.45 ± 0.03mg). The sample also contained 3.89 ± 0.01% total nitrogen and 6.00 ± 0.02% organic matter. This results shows that cow dung can be a good alternative organic matter.
