ABSTRACT

This research project aims to explore the implementation of blended learning pedagogical models for effective teaching of business education in Nigeria. The study seeks to assess the current state of blended learning adoption in business education, examine the benefits and challenges associated with its implementation, evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing student learning outcomes, and propose recommendations for optimizing its use in the Nigerian educational context.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, incorporating surveys, interviews, and classroom observations. The research objectives include assessing the current state of blended learning adoption in business education, examining the benefits and challenges of its implementation, evaluating its effectiveness in enhancing student learning outcomes, and proposing recommendations for optimizing its use.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the implementation of blended learning pedagogical models for effective teaching of business education. The research will assess the current state of blended learning adoption, including the extent of usage, the types of blended learning models employed, and the availability of technological infrastructure. Additionally, the research will examine the benefits and challenges associated with the implementation of blended learning, such as increased student engagement, flexibility, and access to resources, as well as issues related to faculty training, technological barriers, and pedagogical alignment. Furthermore, the research will evaluate the effectiveness of blended learning in enhancing student learning outcomes, including measures of knowledge acquisition, skill development, critical thinking, and student satisfaction. Based on the findings, recommendations will be proposed for optimizing the implementation of blended learning pedagogical models in the Nigerian educational context, encompassing faculty development programs, infrastructure enhancement, curriculum adaptation, and student support services.

The implications of this research extend to business education institutions, faculty members, curriculum developers, educational policymakers, and students. The findings will inform institutions about the current state of blended learning adoption in business education, guiding them in designing strategies and initiatives to enhance its implementation for effective teaching. Faculty members can benefit from the research findings by understanding the benefits and challenges associated with blended learning, enabling them to design and deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences. Curriculum developers can utilize the research findings to adapt the business education curriculum to align with the demands of blended learning, ensuring the inclusion of relevant digital skills and pedagogical approaches. Educational policymakers can consider the implications of the research when formulating policies and initiatives that support the implementation of blended learning in Nigerian educational institutions. Students can benefit from the research findings by gaining access to innovative and personalized learning experiences that enhance their engagement and academic success.
