Abstract
The theory of S3 Systems must incorporate also a reference model, methodology, methods and tools to be able to support the development of such systems. In this chapter, a reference model framework is introduced in order to support engineers to create partial and particular models to set up successful integrated product, process and manufacturing system development processes.
