ABSTRACT

This research project aims to examine the challenges and prospects of preparing business education students in South-East Colleges of Education for a changing world. The study seeks to identify the challenges faced in equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge, explore the prospects for adapting the curriculum to meet the demands of a changing business landscape, and propose strategies to enhance the preparation of business education students for the evolving global environment.

A qualitative research design will be employed, utilizing interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. The research objectives include identifying the challenges encountered in preparing business education students for a changing world, exploring the prospects for curriculum adaptation to align with new business trends and technologies, and proposing strategies to enhance the preparation of students for the evolving global environment.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the challenges and prospects of preparing business education students in South-East Colleges of Education for a changing world. The research will identify challenges faced by educators, including outdated curriculum content, limited access to technology, inadequate professional development opportunities, and resistance to change. Additionally, the research will explore the prospects and opportunities for curriculum adaptation to align with new business trends and technologies, such as entrepreneurship, digital literacy, sustainability, global business practices, and emerging technologies. Furthermore, the research will propose strategies to enhance the preparation of business education students, including curriculum revision, integration of experiential learning, industry partnerships, faculty development programs, and the utilization of technology-enhanced teaching and learning approaches
