Abstract

Nano-composites made of xGnP incorporated ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA)/ethylene-octene copolymer (EOC) with different proportions of 100/0, 80/20, 50/50, 20/80, 0/100 were processed by melt mixing method followed by compression moulding. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern shows dispersion of xGnP in the blends. FESEM shows exfoliated graphite nanoplatelets (xGnP) that are well-dispersed in the blend matrix. The dielectric and conducting behaviours of the samples were carried out at room temperature by computer-controlled impedance analyser with varying frequency from 100 Hz to 5 MHz. The maximum dielectric constant of 191 at 1000 Hz was achieved for 80/20 blend at room temperature. The AC conductivity study shows maximum values of 1.99 × 10–7 Î©âˆ’1 m−1 for 80/20 blends.
