PARENTAL ATTITUDES TOWARDS PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN BOKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF CROSS RIVER STATE.

ABSTRACT This research work focus on parental attitudes towards physical education in Boki Local Government of Cross River State. To achieve the purpose of the study, three research questions as well as three hypothesis were formulated to guide the study. Literature review that relates with the variables under study were reviewed accordingly. Population of the study is made up of 1,225 parents, survey descriptive design was adopted for the study. Sample of two hundred (200) respondents were randomly selected, the selection was done through the simple random sampling technique. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. Pearson Product moment correlation coefficient analysis was use for data analysis and all the hypothesis were tested at .05 level of significance. The result of the findings indicated that parents level of involvement, parent level of education and parent religious believe has a significant relationship with physical Education in Boki Local Government Area. The following Recommendations among others were made that parents should adequately involve in Physical Education activities like running, gym, recreational activities so that it will.
