ABSTRACT
This study examined the impact of teamwork on organizational performance and productivity, using Siba Group of companies Ikot Ekpene as a case study. To accomplish the research objectives, the study adopted the survey research design while the convenience sampling technique was used to select fifty (50) respondents as sample size for the study, instrument of the study was a self-developed questionnaire and the forms were personally administered. Data analysis technique employed was the descriptive statistics which involves the use of simple percentages and frequency tables. The study revealed that teamwork has positive impact on organizational performance and productivity. The study revealed that the benefits of teamwork on organizational performance and productivity include: boost employee performance, boost to productivity, facilitate revealed that the factors militating against teamwork on organizational performance and productivity are aggressor blocker, with drawer and devil’s advocate. The study also revealed that the solution to problems associated with teamwork in on organization are build trust among team members, prepare to engage in debates around idea, learn to commit to decision and plans of action and focus on achieving collective result. It was recommended that organization should team to commit to decision and plans of action and also hold one another accountable against their plan.
