ABSTRACT
The work focused on the impact of unemployment on social political development in Nigeria (A case study of Uyo Local Government Area). A way forward, the researcher raised four objectives and formulated four research questions. The researcher adopted a survey research design and employed a simple random technique to select a sample size of 300. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentage frequency table. After a careful study, the findings revealed that there is serious socio-economic effect of unemployment in Nigeria. One of the recommendation given is government should mechanize agriculture and pumb money into it so that people will find it worth doing
