ABSTRACT

In today’s digital age, acquiring digital skills has become increasingly crucial for individuals aiming to succeed in the entrepreneurial landscape. This research project aims to explore the role of business education in enhancing digital skills acquisition for entrepreneurship development.

A mixed-methods approach will be adopted, incorporating qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. Qualitative data will be gathered through interviews and focus group discussions with entrepreneurs, business educators, and industry experts. Additionally, quantitative data will be collected through surveys administered to a sample of business education students and entrepreneurs. The research objectives include assessing the current state of digital skills acquisition among business education students, exploring the role of business education in fostering digital entrepreneurship, and identifying strategies for enhancing digital skills acquisition through business education.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing valuable insights into the role of business education in enhancing digital skills acquisition for entrepreneurship development. The research will shed light on the current proficiency levels of business education students in digital skills, identify the gaps and challenges in digital skills acquisition, and explore effective teaching methods and curriculum components that promote digital entrepreneurship.
